New Members should drop by for a review of our Club's assets and resources. This is an opportunity for members to meet each other and learn about the Hilton Head Island Computer Club. A great starting point for those of us who don't know what we don't know about computers. If you haven't attended one of these sessions yet, come and learn more about the Computer Club.

FREE ELECTRONICS & DOCUMENT SHREDDING RECYCLING COLLECTION EVENT FEBRUARY 4, 2012

This event will be from 9AM-3PM on February 4, 2012 and will take place at both of the Beaufort County Public Works sites, Public Works North & South. Beaufort County residents can bring their electronic items, computers, television, monitors & documents for shredding to either location on this date.

For members who have iPads, there is usually help at the Resource Center on Monday mornings (Ethel Montag and Ed Cliff) and Wednesday mornings (Wes Taylor).

For members looking for help with Android Tablets, please see Jolyn Bowler on Tuesday afternoons or Rosemary Sparacio every other Friday morning at the Resource Center.

Call for Volunteers - Resource Center Substitutes!

Many of you are familiar with the Resource Center. It’s the place you go, call, or come to when you have a PC or Mac question or problem. Our volunteers do their very best to help members with their PCs, Macs, software or hardware. Now we need your help. Please consider adding your name to our Resource Center Substitute List. Our substitutes fill in for the Resource Center Volunteers when they can’t be there…I mean everyone is entitled to take a vacation, right?

The Resource Center is open M-F, in two shifts, 10 AM-1 PM & 1-4 PM, with two volunteers per shift. You would be with a regular volunteer, helping members, and learning along the way. In addition, we will be instituting a training session so that you’ll be able to “hit the ground running.”

Reminder - LIVE MAC HELP AT THE COMPUTER CLUB

    The Mac group of the HHICC would like to help solve your Mac problems. Every Monday and Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM a Mac member will be at the club's Resource Center to answer your questions in person or by phone 842-4475, to help you through any issues. You can also use the club's iMac computer, bring your laptop, or just come in to get information.
