The Hilton Head Island Computer Club has a dream to accomplish two major new projects, and it needs your help.
Classroom
Education
Many members
have requested convenient local classes to learn word processing, e-mail, Internet,
spreadsheet, banking, database, web site and other applications. We hope to
begin classes in 2009 in the SHARE center with an initial class size of six.
Resource
Center Renovation
Another
project is to completely renovate the Resource Center by updating the hardware,
software, network, furniture, fixtures and decorating. We plan to have a world
class Resource Center that will be a bright spot on the community’s radar
screen.
Together, these two projects will require a capital expenditure of about $25,000.

Partner with
HHICC to provide computer education to individuals in the community that may
change lives. The Club provides personal computer training and
support to help its members use computers with more confidence. In addition to
the Resource Center, Weekly News and Island Computing Newsletter, the Club
provides technical assistance to other local nonprofit organizations, helping with
mailing lists, newsletters, web sites and networks. These services are
provided entirely by volunteers.
