Meet Jim Harty

Jim Harty joined HHICC in December, 1991. Since the first months of his membership Jim has been at the forefront of advancing knowledge about personal computers and their place in our lives.

Starting out by leading a debate about Windows versus DOS, he submitted Tips, Hints, Tricks and Secrets on a variety of PC topics for the newsletter. Jim was an early advocate of the Internet and organized a series of presentations, some of which were fund-raisers for the club.

An early leader in getting the club to assist local non-profit agencies, Jim worked with Volunteers in Medicine, Boys and Girls Club of HHI, and Programs for Exceptional People. His hand has been present in every nuance introduced to our newsletter and he worked on our first Web site.
