Our Resource Center is now located at the S.H.A.R.E. Senior Center at 6 Office Way,
Suite 915, just around the corner from our previous location at the Technical College
of the Lowcountry. The Resource Center is open 5 days a week, Monday through Friday,
from 10am until 4pm. Usually there are 2 volunteers on duty to assist members in
person or by telephone (843) 842-4475.
The Resource Center Renovation Project has included: • all new Dell OptiPlex PCs
with new 22” wide screen LCD monitors • each PC will boot to either XP Pro or Vista
Ultimate for maximum flexibility • each PC has a standard software configuration
including Office Suites 2003 and 2007 and 24 other popular applications. One PC
will have additional specialized advanced software. We have added two new flat bed
scanners and a color laser printer, a new gigabit network with network attached
storage, new computer tables and chairs in an instructional style arrangement, new
carpet, freshly painted walls and some serious spring cleaning. We have maintained
our Macintosh, and our Media Center PC with a Turntable, and Cassette Tape player
for transferring media to DVD or CD.
