SIGs (Special Interest Groups)
SIGs (Special Interest Groups)
are events that occur every month, with a specific topic and a specific
leader. These sessions may be less formal from a presentation approach and
be more discussion and problem solving, with attendees learning from the
session leaders and each other. These will continue each month as long as
there is sustained interest and attendance by
members. A list of the current monthly SIGs includes:
New Member Orientation SIG - Jack

New Members should drop by for a review of our Club's assets and resources.
This is an opportunity for members to meet each other and learn about the Hilton
Head Island Computer Club. A great starting point for those of us who don't
know what we don't know about computers. If you haven't attended one of
these sessions yet, come and learn more about the Computer Club. Meets First Tuesday of the month, 4 - 5 PM in the Resource Center
Windows 7 SIG - Jolyn
Bowler
Review features, as well as discussing “how-to” and problem solving.
Meets Second Tuesday of the month, 4 PM in the Resource Center.
Question and Answer SIG -

Drop by with your questions, solutions, problems and answers to discuss with other
members. No matter what you don't know about what you don't know about computers,
bring it on. We start at 4:00 and go till we run out of topics. We focus on Windows,
but MAC users are welcome also. Meets Third Tuesday of the month, 4 PM in the Resource Center
All Things Images SIG -

Review program features, tools and operations of this very flexible image editing
program, while answering questions about “how-to”.
Meets Fourth Tuesday of the month, 4 PM in the Resource Center
Macintosh SIG

Each month we will present a different topic / subject relating to the Mac environment. This is normally a demonstration of an individual Mac application
(software). We also have a general Q.& A. period in which we encourage members to bring their own particular questions& problems to the group.
Meets Second Thursday of every month, 4:15 PM in the Resource Center, no meetings in July and August.
iPad SIG

tablet computer." Meets Third Thursday of every month, 4:15 PM in the SHARE Activity Room.
