Bob Hattersley
671-6990 | Bob, a mechanical engineer, spent 30 years with Procter & Gamble, mostly in
international work. In 1988 he moved from Cincinnati to HHI, where he ran his own
consulting business until 2003. Bob plays tennis at South Beach. | 
Dave McCoy
342-9004 | A native of Missouri, Dave graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio before
starting a career in public accounting and healthcare finance in Chicago. He is
a CPA and was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for
Community Foundation of NW Indiana before retiring and moving to HHI with his wife
Betsy in 2006. Besides computers, his interests include travel, photography, music
and bicycling. |

Ed Cliff

Ed grew up in the Philadelphia area. After graduation from Penn State he worked for 35 years at
Rohm and Haas Company, a large chemical company. He and his wife Sandy moved to Hilton Head in
1997 and has been a member of the computer club since 2000. Ed is currently Membership Director. | 
Norm Galloway

| Norm has degrees in physics from Wheaton College in Illinois and Rutgers in New Jersey. He joined IBM in
Poughkeepsie, NY in 1970 as a systems programmer and moved to IBM Lexington in 1976 to work in applications development.
He joined Lexmark when it was formed in 1991 and served as Chief Information Officer until 1998 and then helped set up their
consulting services group in the US and Europe. Since he retired in 2000 he has been a volunteer with the Salvation Army,
serving on their advisory board and setting up a computer lab for their Boys and Girls Club. Norm and his wife Susie moved
to Hilton Head in February, 2010. |

Ellie retired from AT&T in 1980 and owned and operated an antique/gift/ candy Shoppe in Wheaton,
Illinois for 12 years. She moved to HHI from Glen Ellyn, Illinois in 1990. Enjoys her poodle, Caesar and
turtle, Emily. Interests: antiques, making stained glass windows, cooking and computers. | 
Jolyn Bowler

Jolyn, a 33 year resident of Hilton Head, moved from New York. She started working with personal computers in 1982. She joined
HHICC in 1991, spent 3 years as Membership Director & 4 years as President. She
currently serves as Resource Center Director and chairs four SIGs. She enjoys
singing & playing guitar. |

Moved from Allendale, NJ to Hilton Head Island in July, 1995. Became a volunteer with the computer club
3 years ago, after spending many a day scanning slides and putting them on CDs.

Denise Carlson

Denise was born and raised in Marseilles France. After graduating from business school, she visited friends in Boston, MA. and found work with the John Hancock Ins. Co, in the Commission Department, then with Actuaries in the Pension Department.
Denise and her husband Don, moved to H.H.I. in December 1999, and joined the computer club a year later.
A few years ago, Denise decided to scan, and put on a CD 42 years worth of family photos. HHICC volunteers were so helpful, and so patient, that she decided to return this year to volunteer.
Denise has strong interests in gardening, walking, and reading. |

Karen Kemp

Karen moved from South Brunswick, NJ to Bluffton in September of 2005. She
worked for Johnson & Johnson for 35 years, advancing to Executive
Administrator to the Worldwide Chairman of Pharmaceuticals. Karen's
interests include The Computer Club, the Camera Club, working/learning
Photoshop, some golf, and reading books that make her laugh. | 
George Minot

A native Texan, with extended foreign service experience in Missouri and Ohio, George and wife Betty moved to HHI in 1992. An
Industrial Engineering graduate of the Univ. of Texas, former Naval Aviator, ex-IBMer
and ISP pioneer (1969 to 1989), he is an avid tennis player and dedicated volunteer. |

Wes grew up in Haworth, NJ and attended Bethany College (WV) and the University of Oklahoma.
He retired from the R&D Division of Texaco Inc. after 38 years of service.
He and his wife Marilyn moved to HHI from Nederland, TX in 1994. | 
Gary Kratz

Gary was born in Baltimore, MD, where he received BSEE and MSEE degrees from Johns Hopkins.
He spent 30 years with IBM in the design and management of special purpose computers.
His interests include travel, computers, tennis, and jazz. Gary and his wife Rosemary moved

Bob Rathke

Bob is from Rochester, NY, he worked for Rochester Gas & Electric Corp. for 23 years were he was
involved in nuclear process instrumentation and control at R.E.
Ginna nuclear power station. He also formed Rathke Computer Solutions, Inc.,
a certified Microsoft Business Partner, supporting various NY businesses,
including Xerox Corporation. He and his wife Nancy have 3 children and 4
grandchildren and have been part time residents in Hilton Head Island for 14 years. | 
Ralph Maddox

Raised in a small town in GA near Atlanta. After high school, enlisted in the
Navy. During 20 year career, was commissioned, earned a BS at the Naval
Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, and transitioned from diesel-electric to
nuclear power. Retired in 1970 as Executive Officer, USS NATHANIEL GREENE
SSBN-636(Blue). The next 10 years were in support contract for Navy Special
Projects Office. Then started own business as Computer Systems provider to
small business. Rode the PC wave through mergers, venture capitalists, and
public offering. Then went back to government contract work until fully
retiring in 1995. Moved to HHI in 1999. Favorite activity is helping members
with PC's. |

Rod Holly

Rod received his BS - Math. Degree from Queens College @ CUNY and his
MS - Math. Degree from NYU. He spent most of his work life in Northern NJ and his experience extends
from the vacuum tube Bendix G15, thru IBM 360's, thru large Mainframe's, thru PC's as we know them today.
In the late 1980's Rod started his own Data Base Software Company and still supports, on a part time
basis, some of the system's that are still in operation. Rod and his wife Dorothy moved to Hilton Head
in 1994 and they have six children and twelve grandchildren. |

Rosemary received her BS in Chemistry from LIU, and MS in Microbiology and Public Health from Wagner College. She spent her career in the health care industry,
most recently with Warner-Lambert Co (now Pfizer) as Associate Director of Medical
& Scientific Affairs. Rosemary and her husband Tony moved to Hilton Head full time in 2000 from Brooklyn, NY via New Jersey. | 
Harvey Beeferman

Born in Brooklyn, Harvey graduated as a chemical engineer from Purdue and as an MBA from the U of Chicago. He worked for DeSoto, Inc. for 27 years, before retiring as vice-president of research in 1990. Harvey and his son Doug own 2 popular websites, OneLook.com and RhymeZone.com. He served 3 terms as president of HHICC and is leading the Geeks Out to Lunch on Friday program,

John and his wife Carole have owned a property on Hilton head for twenty-three years, and have been permanent residents for nineteen years. He has been a member of the computer club for three years. They resided in New Jersey before moving here.
John served in the Air Force. His working career was primarily involved in the computer typesetting field with main frame computers. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, McGraw Hill, RCA Service Company, PICA (Printing Industries Computer Associates) and finally as Director of Data Processing for a national horse racing newspaper, The Daily Racing Form.

Kathy Enders

Kathy was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA; later in the King of Prussia/Valley Forge area. She was employed by General Electric Company’s Aerospace Group for close to 30 years ending her career as Adm. Assistant to the Group Executive.
Following a “second” home on Hilton Head for 10 years during the 80’s, Kathy and her husband moved permanently down to the Island in 1993. Widowed she choose to stay on the island which she loves and enjoys playing golf, volunteering with animal rescue groups, gardening, Bridge and more recently the Computer Club.

I graduated with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Louisville, worked there doing research, learned Fortran and medline, which was part of the beginning
of the internet. Moved to HHI in 1980, went to work for Sea Pines Co. where I was given a PC with no memory and asked to develop real estate programs using Lotus.
Later while working for my husband’s company, Jeter Construction Co., I learned about and joined the HHICC in the early 1990’s, where I learned to build
my own computer. Continued to take various computer courses, and became a volunteer to help others learn. I’m currently the HHICC Secretary, and work at the
Resource Center every other Friday morning. |
